Research Engineer USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station 1221 South Main Street Moscow, ID 83843 Pete is a Research Engineer with the USDA Forest Service. He is responsible for modeling and mitigation techniques of erosion from timber-harvested and burned areas in a forest environment. He has developed rill and interrill erodibility and ground cover parameters and model components for predicting erosion from spatially-varied, complex hillslopes. Pete's current research includes spatial variability, hydrophobic soil conditions, effects of prescribed fire and wildfire on erosion, and monitoring methods and mitigation techniques.
