What is SoLo? SoLo is a computerized and networked collection of representative documentation on Soil quality monitoring and Long term ecosystem sustainability, linked electronically by topic and by geography. July 9, 2008—United States Senate passes Senate Resolution 440, recognizing soils on the same level of importance as air & water.
August 12, 2008—The national Soil Information Network (SOILNET) Charter has been signed by both the USDA Forest Service’s National Forest Systems and Research & Development administrators, providing “a virtual science needs assessment, science delivery and management problem solution team to address National Forest and Grassland soil management issues.”
